CODAW Analyzer Tap 0.2.3 — macOS 12 or newer, Apple Silicon and Intel build.

Recommended: use the separate CODAW-Analyzer-Tap-0.2.3.pkg download.
Open it with macOS Installer. It installs the AU in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components.
The package is an unsigned development preview; the AU is ad-hoc signed, not notarized.

Manual alternative: copy the WHOLE 'CODAW Analyzer Tap.component' bundle to
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ (create Components if missing).
Do not open Contents or run the executable inside. Avoid installing two copies.

Save your project and restart your DAW after an AU binary update.
Enable Audio Units v2 in Live's plug-in settings and rescan if needed.
Saved Sets retain inserted taps. Installing does not add taps to every track.
Open Analyzer Tap's plug-in editor with Live's plug-in/wrench button to view
the scrolling spectrogram, RMS, sample peaks, Source ID and info/version button.
Play audio to obtain new measurements. The display pauses without new audio.

Analysis occurs at the insert, before the channel fader. Place on Main, chosen
channels, or all channels as CPU permits. The editor works without CODAW open.
CODAW additionally receives local numeric measurements, not raw audio.
96 logarithmic frequency bands; 2048-sample FFT; RMS and sample peaks in dBFS.
These are not LUFS, true peaks, key/chord recognition or an automatic mix verdict.
Source 0=Main, 1–64=assigned channels, 65=unassigned; CODAW assigns existing taps.
Use one tap last on an ordinary active channel. On Main / Stereo Out only, use
two taps at the first and last effect slots. Both are before the fader. CODAW
shows the verified endpoints side by side; these windows are not sample-aligned.
AU 0.2.3 sends short-window stereo correlation and a measured 128x128 density
map for CODAW build95, plus compatible 64x64 and 16x16 maps for older versions.
The fine map is compressed relative log-density with a fixed decoded size,
no time order and no waveform/audio samples. When its bounded packet cannot
fit, the compatible 64x64 view remains available. M/S axes, a short fading trail
and a correlation bar assist inspection. The app adds slower 32-second history,
frequency/dB scales, sampled-window Average and Short/Long summaries.
Silence/mono/one-sided audio has no correlation reading. Auto scaling and trails
are display aids, not calibrated stereo level, LUFS or a whole-song verdict.
VU display is decorative and RMS-driven, not calibrated IEC VU or loudness.
Physical Intel compatibility and all-channel CPU overhead are not yet verified.
